Saturday, May 19, 2012:Armed Forces Day: At the library, 935 Cundy’s Harbor Road, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. Celebrating our military members past and present, bring the whole family. We will demonstrate how to fold the American flag, some common knots will be exhibited for you to try tying yourself, and the importance of our military services will be discussed. Participants can also create thank-you cards to send to service members currently serving abroad. Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists are encouraged to come wearing their respective uniforms. All ages are welcome, please join us.
Thursday, May 24, 2012:Hail and Farewell day: At the library, 935 Cundy’s Harbor Road, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Join us as we bid farewell to outgoing library board members, Ann Greene and Anne Perry, while also welcoming Lin Caroleo as the new Librarian and Director of CHL. Please join us for light refreshments and a few short presentations.
Wednesday, June 20, 2012:CHL Summer Reading Program: At the library, 935 Cundy’s Harbor Road, every Wednesday morning 10:00 am – 11:30 am, through August 1, 2012 (skipping July 4, 2012, public holiday).
